Position: SHIPPING Order Pullers

Hours: 7 am -3:30 Pm Monday – Friday

Wages: starting at $14.90 per hr. – up to $16.90 per hr. in 12 months.

Reports to: Shipping Manager

At Jackson Kayak, we manufacture some of the most exciting outdoor-related products. These include top-of-the-line Kayaks, Coolers, and Dog Kennels. Our shipping team helps to develop more efficient ways to pack and ship out products. It is a fast-paced and exciting environment. Jackson Kayak a Sparta, TN-based kayak manufacturer is looking to fill a shipping specialist position immediately.

General Responsibilities

You will be responsible for picking/packing and hand-loading the product. Accepts and Receives shipments and ships products by unloading, loading, and verifying shipments.

Specific Responsibilities

• Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers.

• Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; Hand-loading and protecting items, involving some heavy lifting.

• Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information

• Unloads products by hand from product carts and places them in bin locations daily, recording bin location.

• Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers. Transfers orders received to the necessary department.

• O.T as Needed

Skills/Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must be fast-paced, be detailed oriented, and self-starters.

Must be comfortable lifting 60 -125 lbs. frequently in a hot environment at times.

Must be comfortable keeping up with the ebb and flow of a fast-paced shipping department

ERP Experience Preferred

Workers must also pay attention at all times, as assembly line tools and machinery can potentially inflict serious injury as the result of negligence or breakdown.
