Position Summary
The School of Lifelong Learning at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Resource Assistant for Nontraditional Learners position.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education
An Associates Degree (or 2-years of college) is required.
Minimum Required Experience
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in an adult
education and/or professional training (workforce development) context.

Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a valid Mississippi Driver License and is able to quality for a University Driving Permit.
Qualifications
Applicants with strong technological skills and creative ideas for how to enhance learning and profession training opportunities are particularly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills are essential for this position.
- Applicant must be willing and able to travel statewide and work evenings and some weekends as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the Center for Professional Development staff with planning, development, and dissemination of reports, marketing, and training materials (brochures, newsletters, flyers, posters, etc.), event planning and implementation.
- Prepare training materials, collect data, and prepare for the delivery of food services for meetings, conferences, trainings, and other events.
- Provides information to potential participants regarding training activities and program schedules and benefits via phone, mail, and email as well as, prepare and mail training certificates.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with public and private organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
