Position Description
Number crunchers unite! The Finance Director will oversee the financial health of the organization by managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial plans that support growth, sustainability, and our fun-first mission.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reports with a keen eye for accuracy and opportunity.
- Secure grants and funding to support broadband deployment and community initiatives in rural areas.
- Maintain financial health through compliance, risk management, and proactive solutions.
- Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Work with investors, community partners, and leadership to align financial goals with Jade’s broader mission.
- Streamline processes and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining exceptional service for our customers.
- This position is a “Results Oriented” position; the individual must have the ability to easily and willingly adapt to changes of policy, procedures, or work environment.
- Prepare financial statements, variance reports, and key metrics for executive leadership.
- Work closely with operational leaders to understand their reporting needs and develop plans to provide information and drive results within the business.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews with an emphasis on cost control and financial optimization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Education/Experience
- Proven experiences as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Senior Financial leader
- CPA required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in managerial capacity
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Bonus points for Master's or MBA
- Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional communication skills—you can explain financial concepts clearly to any audience.
- Experience with grant funding, particularly in community-focused or broadband industries, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead finance team members.

- Flexibility to work long and varied hours. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm with an hour lunch break. Minimum of 40 hours a week, with the expectation that job duties will be fulfilled and extra hours may be necessary; must be available to work some weekends during high sales periods.
