The Learning Events Specialist will play a pivotal role in the success of our high-impact conferences and events by sourcing and securing high-caliber speakers, curating compelling content, and ensuring a top-notch experience for events ranging in size from 50 to 150 attendees.
This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
Content Curation & Development :
- Design and develop conference agendas, focusing on relevant and timely topics that resonate with attendees.
- Collaborate with internal teams and industry experts to create high-quality content that adds value to the event.
- Oversee the creation of session descriptions, promotional materials, and content for event marketing campaigns.
- Ensure all content aligns with the overall event strategy and organizational goals.
- Continuous collaboration across all departments to ensure awareness of inner-company projects and upcoming industry changes to create informative agendas.
Speaker Sourcing & Management :
- Develop and manage relationships with speakers, ensuring clear communication and coordination before, during, and after the event.
- Collaborate with speakers to refine their presentations, ensuring alignment with event themes and audience needs.
- Negotiate speaker contracts and manage all logistical details related to speaker participation.
- Foster relationships with Wealth Management partners to leverage our relationships and secure meaningful speakers.
Program Management :
- Coordinate with fellow event team members to ensure seamless execution of conference sessions and workshops.
- Build invitation lists alongside Janney leadership.
- Leverage and operate within registration website for event communications, surveys, and data.
- Collaborate with logistics on the event timeline, ensuring all content and program elements are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate and partner with audio visual teams for successful production of event.
- Gather and analyze attendee feedback to continuously improve content and program offerings.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to speaker engagement, attendee satisfaction, and content effectiveness.
What you have :
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, event management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in conference programming, event management, or content curation.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex timelines and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Highly organized and solutions-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of financial industry.
- Excel expertise is strongly preferred.
- Experience in digital and hybrid event formats.
- Experience with event systems such as Cvent.
