What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator (Onsite - Middlebury, IN) position at Jayco?
Purpose
Responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and related infrastructure.
Essential functions
- Provide 3rd level of support for helpdesk requests
- Engages with other IT team members to insure issue resolution and support
- Assists with planning and executing IT supported rollouts and upgrades of software and hardware
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Install new/rebuild servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Configuration automation and monitoring through Microsoft System Center
- Develops workstation golden image and maintains latest updates on reference images
- Apply OS updates, antivirus, and upgrades on a regular basis
- Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
Required Experience/ Knowledge
- 4-6 years of proven system administration experience
- Working knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V virtual machine hypervisors
- Windows 2008R2-Windows Server 2016 with common roles i.e. DNS, DHCP, Print, DFS, IIS, WSUS, PKI, RDS
- Experience supporting Microsoft Server products i.e. AD, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, Clustering, System Center, POwershell, etc.

- Strong project management skills
- Critical thinking ability and strong problem-solving capacity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work Requirements
- Driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Participate in off hour support rotation as required
