SUMMARY
Join our team as an Electrical Technician II, where you’ll play a critical role in assembling, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems for advanced vehicles. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vehicles meet quality and schedule requirements, all while contributing to cutting-edge innovations in automotive technology.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assemble, install, and tap-in electrical cables, control boxes, switches, lighting, and other components for vehicle interiors and exteriors.
- Coordinate with mechanical and upholstery teams to ensure smooth build sequencing and timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, engaging support as needed to maintain quality standards and deadlines.
- Perform quality inspections and uphold rigorous standards for electrical assemblies.
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians to foster skill development and team growth.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience: Formal training with 1-2 years of relevant experience or 5 years in automotive (12V) electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods and ESD standard procedures.
- Familiarity with IPC 610 & 620 standards.
- Expertise with tools like digital multimeters, milliohm meters, power supplies, and cable testers.
Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively, prioritize tasks, solve complex problems, and communicate clearly.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work comfortably in confined spaces in and around vehicles.
