Summary
The Commercial Lines Intern will assist in a wide variety of projects supporting our Commercial Lines teams. This individual will work alongside underwriting and sales staff, learn about insurance, sales, and the jewelry industry, providing experience that will help prepare them for a career in any of these areas after graduation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Be part of the underwriting process by assisting with tasks such as updating underwriting files, importing websites, diagrams, aerial photos, evaluating property insurance to value, ITV evaluations, loss runs, etc.
- Underwrite small business renewal accounts from start to finish
- Learn about the insurance industry through job shadowing and ride-along opportunities
- Compile lead lists and other data to assist the sales team in promoting Jewelers Mutual Group to prospects
- Update SOPs and other team reference materials
- Perform targeted project work

Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a related curriculum at an accredited technical school, college, or university
- Be part of the underwriting process by assisting with tasks such as updating underwriting files, importing websites, diagrams, aerial photos, evaluating property insurance to value, ITV evaluations, loss runs, etc.
- Underwrite small business renewal accounts from start to finish
- Learn about the insurance industry through job shadowing and ride-along opportunities

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
