Superintendent

We are hiring experienced Superintendents in MIDLAND, TX to grow with our company. We are IEC members and offer training through the IEC.

Jomar Electrical Contractors is hiring a General Superintendent & Foreman with proven background experience in new commercial construction in Midland, TX.

Candidates must have experience running commercial projects from $100K to $1 million and hold a current Texas Electrical Journeyman license. Candidates for either position must have at least 4-8 years of experience in their perspective positions.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel in support of the field fluctuating labor needs for activities related to electrical construction and maintenance.
• Direct, support, and mentor all subordinate supervisory personnel. Ensure compliance with safety and administrative requirements.
• Serve as senior technical advisor. Assist with difficult construction and start-up problems as necessary.
• Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
• Assist with the implementation and interpretation of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Participate in safety / incident investigations and reviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control programs.
• Monitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays.
• Participate in the conceptual development of electrical construction projects and oversee their organization, scheduling, and implementation.
• Requisition supplies and materials for construction projects.
• Ensure superintendents routinely prepare and submit labor and cost tracking.
• Assist in the development of supervisory training programs.
• Provide expertise and technical knowledge to other home office department heads.

Requirements:

• Must have a Valid Texas Journeyman's license.
• Must have at least five - ten years commercial experience.
• Must be willing to work anywhere within 75 miles of downtown Midland.
• Must have good employment record with at least 3-5 years at prior employers.

Experience:

• Journeyman Electrician: 2 years (Preferred)
• Leadman: 3 years (Required)
• Foreman: 3 years (Required)
• General Superintendent: 5 years (Preferred)
