The Facilities Supervisor oversees the facilities budget, maintenance, care, security and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring the physical structures adhere to health and safety standards and meet all regulatory compliance requirements to provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.
Plan and coordinate all installation and refurbishment operations.
Manage the upkeep of facility equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Manage the facilities staff, contractors and external suppliers.
Maintain equipment building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments.
Communicate and coordinate with external contractors and vendors.
Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol.
Responsibilities Include :
Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready of regular business and special events.
Oversee outside janitorial service to maintain cleaning protocols.
Oversee outside security service to maintain security protocols.
Run routine maintenance inspections.
Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes.
Comply with all health and safety procedures.
Support maintenance and installment work as needed.
Monitor building maintenance budgets and ensuring cost effectiveness.
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs promptly.
Implement best practices and techniques that promote cost-efficiency.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
Advanced mechanical, plumbing and electrical skills
Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Great leadership and problem-solving skills
Computer skills
7 years of facilities management experience
Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent
OTHER :
Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.
Physical and general work environment sitting, standing, walking, typing, bending, lifting, taking stairs.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
