The Graduate Research Assistant will help to recruit babies and conduct research appointments with babies and parents.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks to include data entry and scheduling appointments
- In-person recruitment in community in addition to recruitment on social media platforms
- Conducting research appointments with infants using an eye tracker
- Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the lab and organization
Qualifications:
- Current student in the PsyD program
- Currently working in the Baby Development Lab
- Proficient in technology associated with lab tasks (MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets, using social media)
- Minimum availability of 15hrs/week
- Minimum of 1-year research experience. If the candidate meets all other requirements and some preferred requirements, this requirement might be waived
- Experience with children either in an informal (e.g., as a nanny) or formal setting (i.e., conducting research)
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details pertinent in dealing with participant data
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outgoing personality to help facilitate recruitment relationships in the community
- Motivated to participate in self-study as a part of ongoing training
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of research experience
- Computer Science or Statistical background
- Experienced with a programming language (in R, Python, Matlab, etc.)
- Experience in working with Qualtrics
