About This Position
Stand Up Forklift Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading shipments, inventory control, picking and staging orders, and up keep. Ensure safety while operating vehicles inside warehouse and report any deviations, hazards, or issues to the Production Manager, whether its quality or production related.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Efficiently move, sort, handle, stack, stage, load and unload palletized product using a forklift.
- On a daily basis, perform inspections of all equipment before use.
- Identify, separate and unload orders in correct sequence.
- Recognize problems with product and report to the Production Manager.
- Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and organized fashion.
- Report any equipment or facilities issues.
- Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Valid forklift operator/driver certification is required
- At least one (1) year safe forklift driver/operator experience required
- At least one (1) year experience in warehouse/commissary operation, including the physical control and movement of inventory preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
