Supervisor Maintenance

1st Shift - M-F 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Supervisor Maintenance will oversee and manage all maintenance activities within our industrial facility. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure optimal functioning of all machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance tasks according to operational needs.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenses and budget, striving for cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and provide solutions.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of 3-5 years as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in an industrial setting. Experience with furnace/molten metals a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.

Requirements

  • Ability to move about the facility to inspect equipment, oversee maintenance activities, and respond to emergencies.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 33 lbs. as part of maintenance tasks or repairs.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance work.
  • Endurance to work eight (8) to twelve (12) hour shifts, often standing, walking, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs or ladder, sitting.
  • Eyesight and vision to detect equipment malfunctions, read gauges and meters, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
