Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Gymnastics Instructor to lead our Tumble Tots (ages 3-5) and Parent and Tots (ages 1 and walking to 3) gymnastics programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a strong background in gymnastics, and the ability to create a safe and fun learning environment.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for Tumble Tots and Parent and Tots classes.
- Ensure that all activities are safe, engaging, and suitable for the developmental stages of the children.
- Teach fundamental gymnastics skills including balance, coordination, flexibility, and basic gymnastic movements.
- Incorporate fun and educational elements into each class to maintain high levels of enthusiasm and participation.
- Create a positive and supportive atmosphere where children feel encouraged to participate and try new skills.
- Monitor and assist children during activities to ensure safety and provide individualized support when needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents to provide feedback on their child’s progress and address any concerns.
- Set up and take down gymnastics equipment before and after classes.
- Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and the gymnastics area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent injuries.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and progress notes for each child.
- Assist with registration and promotion of the gymnastics programs as needed.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Position requirements:
- Previous experience as a gymnast or teaching gymnastics/ or tumbling to young children.
- Knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to engage and motivate young children in a positive and fun manner.
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical & Environmental Conditions:
- The position requires physical activity, including lifting and moving gymnastics equipment.
- Classes are typically held in a gymnasium or similar environment.
- Flexible working hours, including weekday mornings and/or evenings and weekends.
Salary: $23.31 Hourly
This position is eligible for Sick leave.
