One of Kforce's clients is looking for a BI Engineer in Oakland, CA. This could be a contract to hire role. Summary: The BI Engineer will design/develop/implement solutions to address complex business needs. This person will build dashboards/reports and create custom business applications (Power Apps) from source data - Salesforce and SQL being two of the many data sources. This role encapsulates all tasks needed to translate business requirements into a technical solution and build the architecture of the reporting environment.

Requirements
- 5 years of experience in BI Engineering
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Power BI development and building complex DAX Functions
- Expertise in building and integrating custom applications (Power Apps) with Power BI
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (one of many data sources)
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server
- Expertise in SQL
- Experience in developing reports and dashboards
- Experience setting up reporting environment from the ground up
- Experience building visually appealing dashboards following the best coding practices; Able to solve user requirements on reporting
- Capable of visualizing information that's intuitive and enables insights
- Must have some work/product examples - expectation for some -show and tell- of reports and dashboards they've created before
- Ideal candidates would have worked for a utility company before
