ASSIGNMENT SUMMARY
The Associate Clinical Social Worker works in tandem with members of the medical and behavioral
health team to manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases, apply behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues and provide consultation in the treatment of mental disorders and psychosocial issues. S / he has a solid knowledge of evidence-based assessments and interventions relevant to medical conditions, e.g., disease management, treatment adherence, and lifestyle changes. S / he is skilled in targeted, brief individual and group psychotherapy sessions and has the ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments. The Associate Clinical Social Worker is responsible for growing the mental health department through coordinated development opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid licensure in California as Associate Social Worker (ASW)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an ASW, working with diverse multi-ethnic communities.
- Ability to be flexible with schedule on as needed basis
- Project & personnel management experience
- Valid California driver's license and proof of Auto Insurance with daily access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Solid written, oral, and public communication skills
