Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. You will work closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth in a daycare or classroom setting.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide individualized support to students, catering to their unique needs and learning styles.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote child welfare.
- Organize activities that enhance social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom or daycare environment.
- Collaborate with other educators in curriculum development and program planning.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards of care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and the ability to create a nurturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children are essential qualities.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus.
