Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with Toddlers. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for
1. Assist the lead teacher in providing the children with a beautifully “prepared environment”
2. Assist the Lead Teacher to keep the classroom clean and inviting.
3.Assistant teacher knows how many children are in his or her ratio at all times
4. Assistant teacher supervises children in ratio at all times, using visual and auditory cues.
5. Assistant teacher counts all children at least twenty times a day, matching names to faces: in the classroom, and out of the classroom when going to and from recess.
6. Assistant teacher never turns his or her back on a child to be on the phone or talking to another adult.
7. Assistant teacher moves around at all times to observe children as they play.
8. Assistant teacher is within three paces of seeing all children at all times.
9. Assistant teacher keeps a detailed transition log, to record entry and exit of children and staff.
10. Assistant teacher never uses a cell phone in the presence of a child, unless it is an emergency and he or she is no longer counted in the teacher/student ratio.
Education and/or Experience:
1. 3-6: High School Diploma or a general educational development certificate; A clear record through DFPS and fingerprinting; Have the physical capacity to work with school aged children (includes but is not limited to: bending, minor lifting, working on the floor).
2. Bachelor’s Degree.
3. Interest in pursuing state teaching certification and/or Montessori certification.
4. A clear record through DFPS and fingerprinting.

6. Everyone is required to have: CPR/First Aid Certification, Child Abuse Training and Transportation Training. Toddler Teachers also need Training in Shaken Baby Syndrome, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Brain Development.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
Schedule:
