Director of National Accounts** – KLLM Expedited
The DONA reports directly to the Vice President of Sales
Bentonville, AR
Summary
The DONA’s primary duty is to oversee the sales and account management of the KLLM Expedited division. In addition, the expectation is for the DONA to sell across all KLLM divisions including OTR, Logistics, Intermodal, Dedicated, and Equipment Solutions. The DONA is expected to bring on additional opportunities and close new business along with developing and maintaining long lasting relationships with current customers for continued growth.
Job Description
The DONA is responsible for managing the overall sales for KLLM Expedited.
The DONA will work alongside division leaders and the pricing teams to assist with any rate request and RFP’s.
The DONA will bring on opportunities for other KLLM divisions and will coordinate with the sales/operations teams for the other divisions as necessary.
The DONA will work closely with the KLLM Expedited Operations teams and will be well versed in the needs of the team and the overall network.
The DONA will work with other division leaders and sales groups for additional growth and overall customer development for the KLLM Enterprise.
The DONA will meet with the VP of Sales to discuss strategic planning, budgets, and projections on an annual and bi-annual basis.
The DONA will keep up with market and industry trends to keep a competitive edge, to understand spot and contract pricing, along with the ability to have professional conversations with customers.
The DONA will be required to learn how to access the operating systems to run customer and productivity reports.
The DONA will be required to work in a CRM. (being implemented in the very near future)
Additional Requirements
The DONA will be required to travel at times for conferences, customer visits, sales calls, carrier reviews, operations meetings, corporate visits, etc.
The DONA will be required to create presentations for customer and carrier reviews to include service reports, non-conformance reports, volume, and production reports, etc. (PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Power BI)
At times, the DONA will have knowledge of confidential information based on access to certain areas. The DONA will remain professional and keep all company matters confidential.
The DONA will consistently make decisions in the best interest of the company.
**This title is used for position and leveraging purposes. “Director” in this sense is not considered a “Director” of any person or department regarding a company organizational chart.
