What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (KPA Cross Park/Clinch) position at Knoxville Pediatric Associates, PC?
Full time Medical Assistant position.
4-5 days per week with 1 monthly Saturday rotation
This position would need to be willing to work between the Clinch and Cross Park location.
Job Duties:
-Assist physician by obtaining accurate history/documenting presenting symptoms.
-Prepare patient for physical exam for either sick or well visits, as needed.
-Perform lab work or procedures (within skill level), ordered by physicians.
-Maintain lab equipment in operational status.
-Keep working area stocked with necessary supplies.
-Appropriately document in chart all assessments, treatments, and procedures provided.
-Provide appropriate teaching and instruction to patients and their caregivers.
Performance Requirements:
-Exercise judgment and discretion when dealing with patients and physicians.
-Ability to work with compassion and patience when dealing with ill children.
-Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Education:
-Graduation from an accredited school program or appropriate training and experience.
