As a Medical Assistant, or LPN, you play a direct role in promoting health.
Responsibilities
- Works as part of the intake team to ensure clients are seen promptly.
- Obtain lab work/venipuncture
- Team player
- Obtains vitals, chief complaint, ROS, work closely with NP/PA
- Maintain complete and timely documentation of all aspects of primary care, walk-in visits, hormone and weight-loss injections
- Ready for any questions answered about the test procedures or complete the process with ease and professionalism.
- Able to triage and take calls from questions regarding med refills and labs
- Perform prior authorizations and referrals to specialists
Experience/Education
- ONE YEAR of MA or nurse EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Medical Assistant certification from a recognized organization accredited program
- Medical Assistant coursework or experience; experience must be full time or part time.
- Current CPR certification available upon request.
- Excellent Venipuncture skills
- HIPAA
