Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and various activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to child safety, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while providing a positive experience for all passengers. This role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a school bus or paratransit vehicle.
Duties
- Safely operate a school bus or van following designated routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, implementing appropriate behavior management techniques as necessary.
- Educate students on safety protocols while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Experience
- Previous experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
- A valid drivers license is required for this position.
