Role Overview :
The Meal Delivery Driver will play a key role in ensuring our meals reach clients safely and on time. This individual will be responsible for driving, meal delivery, vehicle maintenance, and observing client well-being during the delivery process. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities :
- Safely maintain and follow a designated delivery route to ensure timely meal deliveries to clients.
- Monitor food temperatures during transport and report any discrepancies to the Site Coordinator.
- Ensure adherence to the planned meal menus and communicate any changes as needed.
- Assist in meal pick-up and delivery to homebound seniors, maintaining a focus on service and care.
- Return completed paperwork and report any missed deliveries.
- Safely store undelivered meals as required.
- Adhere to all traffic safety rules and exercise sound judgment while driving, especially in high-traffic or inclement weather conditions.
- Assist in Senior Program locations as needed.
- Observe clients and their environment, reporting any concerns or safety issues to the team.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure it is in good working condition and up-to-date with all necessary registrations and insurance.
- Keep accurate logs of deliveries, including mileage, gasoline use, and contributions collected.
- Assist in optimizing delivery schedules to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
- Return the vehicle to its designated parking area at the end of each shift.
