Sonographer


Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of a registered sonographer, performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.

Responsibilities
Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Current students to have an obtainable certificate within 90 days of hire with a Bachelors OR Associates degree (A.A.S.), from a CAAHEP accredited college or a two-year technical/vocational college with a certificate in the ultrasound program
BLS required
