Maintenance Mechanic II

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping

• Install and repair diaphragm, centrifugal, positive displacement, and other types of pumps

• Repair and maintain all mechanical systems and troubleshoot mechanical issues as required

• Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and written instructions as necessary to complete an assigned task

• Actively work to reduce identified issues in a team environment

• Maintain plant mechanical equipment and systems to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.

• Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all Koppers policies including but not limited to Koppers LOTO and Permit to Work policy

• Performs other duties as required

Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree

• Preferred 2 years technical/trade school or specialized in technical skill.

• 5 years of mechanical experience or a combination of education and experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Highly motivated and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

• Must be willing to work as a member of a team.

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must maintain a reliable method of contact

• Must have a willingness to work varied hours whenever necessary to achieve the desired results, including call-ins, overtime, and on-call.
