What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at L.R. Costanzo Co.?
Overview:
We are seeking candidates with experience working with: Payroll, prevailing wages for federal and state certified payrolls, PA/UC responses, union reporting- payments and maintenance, ACA reporting, multistate taxation and experience processing W2s and Year-End reporting as well.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efforts between HR and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data, including preparation /distribution of detailed reports.
- Handle administration of electronic time keeping system and processing and validating of all PTO.
- Set up all employees in the system; validate overtime and job changes; monitor submission of approved time sheets; and ensure valid data transfer.
- Establish/maintain employees records; ensure that employees changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to company policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
- Process monthly and or weekly union reports and making payments for approximately 30 unions.
- Complete weekly federal and state certified payrolls.
- Respond to all PA/UC inquiries.
- Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end payroll taxes for multiple states.
- Process ACA reporting and 1095.
- Prepare, process and ensure the accuracy of all year-end payroll requirements including W2s.
Qualifications:
- Three years in Payroll having performed all payroll functions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with multiple company codes and software(s).
- Good skills using MS Word and Excel.
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated payroll system.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
