Overview:
The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT will support the Project Management Team by overseeing Residential projects (various locations available throughout LA, OC, & IE), project’s field staff, and communicating with Company Executives, Project Management Team, and Project Stake Holders. The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT must be organized, self-motivated with high energy, and the ability to interact with numerous individuals, in multiple functions, in a dynamic and changing environment. The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT will be a self-starter, highly ambitious, goal-oriented, and crave success in all aspects of life. The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT will be moldable, trainable, and humble enough to accept and welcome constructive criticism. The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT craves and thrives in an environment that allows freedom to create and enforce both new policies/procedures, including adopting and enforcing old policies. The RESIDENTIAL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT will be an entrepreneur of sorts and always searching for ways to be more efficient, better educated and three steps ahead of our competition.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee Project Foremen and crews, assisting foremen with crew leadership
- Visit Project site daily & reporting back to Company Executives/Project Management Team with daily progress reports
- Conduct or participate in daily safety audits
- Train field staff in safety, work skills, and efficiency
- Provide ongoing feedback to foremen and crews regarding job performance
- Report complaints and grievances; assist with discipline when necessary
- Discuss opportunities for professional development
· Ensure production and quality goals
- Maintain an understanding of contract information for jobs
- Track labor hours and production against stated goals
- Schedule materials, equipment, and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materials
- Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed
- Monitor quality of installations and project site
Qualifications:
· Have strong computer/technology, telephone, and communications skills
· Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing over 100 lb. occasionally
· The mobility to stand, bend and kneel repeatedly or for extended periods
· Ability to climb ladders frequently and work on elevated roof surfaces
· Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot or cold, windy, and rainy conditions
· Ability to operate tools that require extensive use of the hands in a safe manner
· Clean driving record and must have a Valid State Driver’s License
· Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
· Be motivated to excel and achieve project goals
· Be a team player with strong interpersonal and resource management skills
Education/Experience:
· 3 years of superintendent experience in roofing or similar
· 5 years of roofing experience
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
· High School/GED Degree preferred, but not required
