Manufacturing Engineer I
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the sustainment and continuous improvement of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes of your assigned area(s). Typical duties will include daily systematic review of key input and output parameters to ensure equipment and process performance is in accordance with expected levels, ownership and driving of resolution when they are not, and strong engagement with the operations workforce to enable an increased level of awareness in all aspects of manufacturing, e.g., Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilization of Fault Detection Control (FDC) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor equipment and process performance
- Owns 24 x 7 continuity for troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and process related issues
- Spending significant time, i.e., ≥50%, on the manufacturing floor to monitor area performance, troubleshoot, engage, and mentor operations workforce (including off-shifts)
- Ensure timely disposition of hold material
- Provide clear and concise updates to management through verbal and written communication, e.g., morning operations meeting, weekly reports, CAB, OSIR (“one-pagers”), etc.
- Organize and drive cross-functional breakout teams to quickly address quality or other related manufacturing issues, e.g., defectivity excursion
- Identify, develop, and execute continuous improvement projects that are aligned with the mission and strategic vision of the site
- Leading and participation in continuous improvement Kaizen Events
- Maintaining of area specific documentation to ensure incorporation of best-known methods (BKMs)
- Directing of assigned area technicians

Education:
B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.
