The Position :
Full-time position available for Group Leader in the child care program of a non-profit agency in Ocean Township. Experience with young children and children with special needs preferred.
Educational requirements including one or more of the of the following as determined by NJ Office of Licensing :
Associates degree or Bachelors in Early Childhood Ed or Psychology6 college credits in ECE or CD AND 9 college credits in Ed, Psych, Health care, Nursing or any other field related to child growth and developmentChild Development credential (CDA)Certified Child care professional (CCP) CertificateGroup Teacher endorsement from Professional Impact of NJNJ Infant / Toddler Credential administered through Professional Impact of NJExperience with lesson planningThe Location :
LADACIN is based in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Our locations are in beautiful natural surroundings. This location is in Ocean, NJ.

Duties
To plan and implement activities to achieve developmentally appropriate milestones in accordance with the curriculum.
Provide a safe environment that meets the needs of the individual child and his / her particular stage of development.Demonstrate an understanding of the Transdisciplinary and Personal Assistant model.Participate in planning, conducting, and recording family conferences.Provide written transdisciplinary reports and / or checklists and records on assigned clients according to schedule provided by supervisor.Provide weekly lesson plans for submission to supervisor based on curriculum and individual needs.Maintain assigned area and inventories, request supplies, equipment, maintenance and repair, rotation and cleaning of materials.Provide information and referral to the families in effective use of community services and resources.Schedule, supervise and train assistants as designated.Plan and supervise field trips into the community consistent with the curriculum.Assist with the maintenance of records related to licensure and accreditation requirements, including attendance accountability and communication reports.Demonstrate positive guidance and discipline that promotes positive staff / child interactions.Continue professional improvement through education, attendance at conferences, workshops, in-service trainings, committees, and additional events.Perform job activities that may involve moderate to strenuous activity including lifting, repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, and stooping.Cooperate fully with all licensing and accrediting operations of respective funding sources including any inspections or investigations.Comply with Agency Policies and ProcedureRequirements
High School diploma required; Child Development Associate or teaching certification preferred; experience with young children and children with special needs preferred.
