What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Nurse (RN, LPN) position at Lake Greeley Camp?
Lake Greeley Camp is seeking RNs and LPNs who are ready to take on the challenges and excitement of an overnight summer camp experience. Located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania (1 hour east of Scranton, Pennsylvania) Lake Greeley Camp is a private, overnight, summer camp for boys and girls between the ages of 6-15 years old.
Our medical staff are caring individuals who exhibit good communication and organizational skills. They are adaptable to a sometimes busy environment and collaborate well with other members of the team. Comprised of three staff members, our medical staff meet the health care needs of the camp population, respond to illnesses and injuries during the day or at night, and manage all aspects of the health center. Responsibilities include:
- Dispense medication
- First aid for minor injuries
- Ensure health and safety of campers and staff
- Daily sick call
- Weekly health checks
- Communicating specific camper health needs (allergies, special diets, etc.) to staff
- Medical record keeping
- Liaising with local doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies
- Communicate with parents
- Accompany sick/injured campers or staff to the hospital or to medical appointments
- Periodic night on-call duty
- Responding to emergencies that may arise

Dates of Employment: June 22nd - August 23rd
