RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting for capital construction projects and operational departments.
- Develop project and departmental budgets in line with utility accounting practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Audit invoices to ensure they meet contract terms and accurately reflect work progress.
- Conduct regular cost variance investigations to maintain accuracy and consistency in estimates and actual costs. Identify trends and root causes of variances.
- Facilitate the project/budget change control process, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of changes to scope, budget, schedule, and forecast.
- Build positive relationships and communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to promote efficient information flow.
- Learn and utilize various software systems, including PowerPlant, Oracle, Primavera, Maximo, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Power BI.
- Assist with special projects supporting development of Power BI Portfolio Reporting and other forecasting tools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field such as economics, finance, management, or mathematics.
- If your degree is in a related field, you must have taken relevant accounting courses.
