Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Key Account Manager provides the strategic direction necessary to achieve the sales, gross margin, operating profits, and key deliverables for national accounts. This entails managing and growing accounts on a national level, by building and maintaining long-term, strategic relationships with high-level decision-makers. This role is responsible for nurturing the company's clients, ensuring their satisfaction and maximizing revenue by deeply understanding their needs, proactively addressing challenges, and proposing tailored solutions to foster mutual growth and loyalty
Essential Functions
. Resolve client issues and maintain and develop customer relationships
. Developing a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
. Negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits
. Developing trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
. Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
. Communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
. Forecasting and tracking key account metrics
. Identifying and growing opportunities within the territory and collaborating with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
. Preparing reports on account status

Communicate effectively with clients and different audiences and cultures, both verbally and in writing
. Understand and anticipate customers' needs and expectations
. Interpret data, identify trends, and make sound decisions

This job operates in a combination of factory and professional office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
