Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform brain SPECT scans and administer testing protocols while ensuring patient preparation, including IV setup and dose administration.
- Prepare and administer patient doses, maintaining accurate records of all procedures and patient interactions.
- Process, print, and review scan images before the end of each workday to ensure quality and completeness.
- Maintain and update the Odyssey hard drive, ensuring data integrity and proper storage of images and patient records.
- Conduct daily quality control procedures on SPECT cameras and perform hot lab duties, including daily constancy with two sources and surveys.
- Perform weekly wipe tests and semi-annual sealed source leak tests to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Order and manage the inventory of isotopes, ensuring correct vials are ordered ahead of scheduled scans.
- Maintain all required documentation for regulatory compliance and internal audits, including up-to-date logbooks.
- Conduct quarterly dose calibrator linearity tests and annual geometry and accuracy tests to ensure accurate measurements.
- Manage medical supplies inventory, ensuring timely replenishment and readiness for daily operations.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Hold a current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in the applicable state and demonstrate the ability to efficiently work with large patient volumes in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to the public and maintain genuine care and regard for patients.
- Familiarity with brain imaging techniques and the Picker Prism 3000 system is a plus.
Salary : $35 - $45
