What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVP Strategy & Marketing Development position at Landstar System, Inc.?
Summary:
This position will be accountable for creating and executing the go-to-market strategy for strategic initiatives and Landstar service offerings, including the customer value propositions. It will also create and implement marketing strategies designed to improve Landstar customer, agent, and capacity market share.
Essential Responsibilities:
Define addressable customer end markets, Landstar’s current share, set growth targets and track impact of efforts to grow share
Create agent and capacity value propositions to supporting recruiting efforts
Develop intelligence to identify and grow strategic industries, accounts, prospective agents, prospective BCO’s and support corporate strategic initiatives
Engage with agents, agent development, corporate sales, field sales, and capacity development to implement go to market strategies
Oversee analytics, data-driven insights, and develop KPI’s to track and measure the effectiveness of strategic efforts
Oversee marketing and lead generation efforts used to attract agents, capacity, and customers
Provide corporate insight into industry intelligence and macro-economic factors that impact overall strategy
Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Ten of transportation industry experience
Preferred Experience and Education:
Masters’ degree
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep understanding of the transportation industry, related services, and competitive landscape.
Highly skilled in the disciplines of marketing, sales, and strategy.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and go to market strategies related to the transportation and logistics industry.
