What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ammunition Accounting Specialist position at Lanmark Technology Inc.?
The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall forecast, request, coordinate draw and turn-in of ammunition in support of SOATB, 160th SOAR(A) and Component Subordinate Units (CSU). The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall transport ammunition according to installation, local, state, and National Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) standards and regulations. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall manage the SOATB ammunition account in accordance with appropriate regulations, tables, and training requirements. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall forecast requisition, receive, store, and issue conventional training ammunition. Ammunition types will include but not be limited to rockets, ATGMs, grenades, antipersonnel mines, small arms ammunition, machine gun and chain gun ammunition. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall inspect training ammunition for serviceability. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall coordinate the movement of training ammunition, handle and transport training ammunition and maintain records for training ammunition. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall always ensure 100% ammunition accountability, analyze and determine ammunition compatibility for transportation., determine type and number of vehicles required for transportation. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall conduct analysis and determine storage space requirements, determine ammunition rotation schedule to ensure first-in/first-out of ammunition stocks and determine commercial shipment requirements. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall coordinate with Battalion Ammunition Section personnel for issue and turn-in of ammunition and residue. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall coordinate with Army Installation Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) for ammunition issue and turn-in, coordinate with line units for delivery locations and times, coordinate with DPW for blocking and bracing requirements. The Ammunition Accounting Specialist shall inspect vehicles for compliance of transporting explosive, prepare documents required for vehicle inspections and coordinate with garrison Installation Transportation Office (ITO) and other offices for commercial shipments.
Ammunition Accounting Specialist Qualifications:
Minimum of four years experience in military ammunition operations as an Army Ammunition Specialist (Army MOS 89B/ 55B or another military branch equivalent).
Minimum of two years experience maintaining ammunition accountability records.
Capable of lifting, moving, and carrying heavying amounts of ammunitions, explosives and their components.
