What are the responsibilities and job description for the English-Speaking PreK Teacher at Dual-Language Spanish Immersion Preschool position at Latino Educational Achievement Partnership?
The ideal candidate must be a team player, passionate about working with young children. The English Speaking PreK Teacher co-teaches with the Spanish Speaking PreK Teacher to develop a meaningful, authentic, play-based emergent curriculum using Project Based Learning and Reggio-Emilia inspired curriculum . One day a week, this classroom spends the entire day in an outdoor classroom at our offsite location in North Durham.
- Strong English language skills (Teachers who speak English/Spanish work as a team.)

Responsibilities
- Supervise children at all times (Mon - Thurs 8:30am-12:15pm)
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment
- Plan lessons with cooperating teacher and curriculum director
- Be physically able to fully participate in daily schedule - majority of time spent outside
- Maintain communication with parents who are majority Spanish speaking
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Location: 1737 Hillandale Road Durham
- Compensation: 25 hrs/week (includes pay for 4 hrs planning time/week, $18.5/hr.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience as a Daycare Teacher - Preschool Teacher - Child care Teacher - Teacher Assistant - Daycare Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Education - Childcare Teacher or similar job experience.
