CAD Detailer/BIM Modeler for Mechanical Contractor

Position overview:

As a CAD detailer on our Plumbing and Piping Detailing team, you will collaborate with design teams to ensure the accuracy and clarity of design documents for successful project execution.

Talent goals for this role:

· A minimum of two years of work experience

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit

· 3D modeling experience and BIM coordination is a plus

· Experience in a construction related field

· Understanding of construction terminology and drafting standards

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings

· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with various project teams

Responsibilities:

· Use Revit to create detailed shop drawings per project plans and specifications

· Coordinate shop drawings with other trades that may affect Lawson’s scope of work

· Generate RFIs to clarify design document discrepancies prior to shop fabrication and field installation

· Work within project schedule deadlines and material lead times

· Review design document changes issued throughout each project to identify any impacts to Lawson’s scope of work

· Effectively communicate with all members of the project team

Preferred software experience:

· AutoCAD

· Revit

· Navisworks

Job schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday. Current work hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Salary: Depending on experience. Pay range is $20-24 per hour.

Work location: Sacramento, CA. Remote work is not available for this position.
