As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Industrial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to complex and large-scale projects in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Estimation:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for millwright services, ironwork, demolition, and material handling projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure estimates are accurate and reflect the project scope.
- Develop and maintain unit price databases for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Bid Preparation:
- Generate competitive bids and proposals for new projects.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and project requirements.
- Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids for inclusion in the final project estimate.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Present estimates to clients and negotiate contract terms.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project timelines.
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed.
- Provide support for project cost control and financial reporting.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates and related correspondence.
- Prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Travel possibility up to 50%
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in millwright services, ironwork, demolition, and material handling.
- Proven track record of successfully estimating industrial construction projects.
- Skills:
- Proficient in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Certifications:
- Professional certifications in construction estimating (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator, or similar) are a plus.
