Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and strong desire to provide exceptional customer service. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of salespeople, leading them to achieve sales goals by motivating, training, and coaching them, while also managing inventory, pricing strategies, and customer satisfaction to maximize profitability within the dealership. The Sales Manager will back up F & I, so finance experience is a must. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to sales, the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, knowledge of automotive sales processes and financing options, and proven sales experience in the automotive industry.
Duties
- Hire, train, coach and mentor a professional and successful sales staff.
- Manage the sales pipeline.
- Setting targets, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Monitoring sales performance and analyzing market trends to identify areas of improvement.
- Follow up with salespeople on leads for potential sales opportunities.
- EMI-Early management intervention, get involved with sales staff and customer early.
- Guiding customer through the car buying process and ensuring they find the perfect vehicle that meets their needs.
- Manage inventory control by keeping track of old age inventory and targeting those vehicles as necessary.
- Utilize software tools to maintain customer records and manage sales processes efficiently.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the dealership.
- Back up Finance Department as needed.
- Appraise used cars as needed.
- Structure deals and secure financing while maintaining profitability.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive sales management with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
- Proficiency in using software tools related to inventory management and customer relationship management (CRM), CDK, ELeads, VAuto.
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport with customers. Have a deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to provide excellent service.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing customer information.
- Excellent closing skills.
