Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing certain functions within the Deposit Operations area, which include but are not limited to wire processing, ACH processing, setup and changes to deposit accounts.
Major Duties and Accountabilities:
- Assist customers and employees with the completion of wire requests and monitor the activity of the wire system(s).
- Assist customers and internal employees with various deposit account questions regarding stop payments, transfers, overdrafts, interest calculation, fee assessment or debit card transactions, etc.
- Answer phone calls from customers and internal employees regarding personal and business internet banking concerns. Assist in new enrollment, logon issues or general questions regarding online banking, mobile banking, bill pay or Zelle.
- Review Mobile and Commercial Deposit Systems to process transactions multiple times daily.
- Monitor daily ACH requests that that may require timely approval.
- Review incoming Positive Pay files, resolve any issues with posted items and contact customers as needed to answer unresolved statement items.
- Reconcile any/all internal accounts which may be assigned.
- Compile monthly reports for various areas.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1 year previous bank experience.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly both orally and in written form.
Preferred:
- Previous deposit operations experience.
- 3 years previous bank experience.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related area.
