Job Description:
The Beverage Manager will lead, direct, delegate, teach, discipline, and train the Beverage team while supporting the Food Outlets when needed in a manner which ensures excellent customer service and a professional environment resulting in increased customer and Team Member loyalty, and revenue growth.
Job Requirements:
• Directly supervise all Bartenders, Barbacks, and Cocktail Servers, while providing oversight and support to the Casino Restaurants when needed.
• Ensure that the Beverage Team is in compliance with all company policies and procedures; follow through with timely coaching or corrective action if needed.
• Create effective schedules that support excellent customer service while maintaining labor cost controls.
• Maintain proper cost of sales.
• Ensure all team member documentation, required licenses, and evaluations are current.
• Work behind the bar or on the casino floor serving guests as needed.
• Communicate with all staff and stay informed through meetings and classes.
• Assist in any area or job in order maintain smooth operation of the property; this includes assisting as needed in the various food outlets and restaurants.
• Maintain logs and reports.
• Must be familiar with a point-of-sales system for inventory and sales tracking purposes.
• Maintain competitive awareness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of four years’ experience working in a casino/bar establishment preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience required.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must comply with all health codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of casino environment.
• Thorough knowledge of liquor and cocktail service.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Compliance or TIPS training.
• Must have previous experience in handling cash.
• Must have the ability to responsibly monitor alcohol consumption to ensure the safety of our guests.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
