Overview

This position is responsible for the implementation, promotion, and design of Energy Efficiency programs.

This position could be located in Lexington or Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Energy Efficiency programs including coordinating activities of contractors.
  • Responsible for general oversight of contractors.
  • Embody and support Company-wide safety efforts.
  • Collaborate with broader team (i.e., marketing, information technology, customer service) to implement and improve program offerings, increase accessibility, and heighten program awareness.
  • Design and develop program content, policy, and procedures for Energy Efficiency programs with limited assistance.
  • Proactively identify issues and develop solutions to ensure fulfillment of the implementation plan and program commitments as approved by the KPSC.
  • Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding energy and participation goals.
  • Develop and manage independent evaluation processes and contractor engagement that support evaluating energy impacts and cost effectiveness of assigned programs.
  • Assist in strategic efforts to focus departmental resources on cost effective programs.
  • Develop and maintain contact with key industry groups.
  • Provide back up to other Energy Efficiency positions as required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by manager.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or business.

Experience

Five plus years designing, developing and administering successful energy efficiency or demand reductions programs. Experience with demand side energy efficiency program implementation principles, or contractor management which includes quality control, continuous improvements, and budge accountability.

Preferred Experience

Should have excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills. Should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). Knowledge of energy efficiency and related technologies and building science are a plus as is work in the area of customer service. Additional education and Energy Efficiency Certifications are a plus.
