Procurement Specialist
Position Summary:
As Procurement Specialist, you will determine price and availability of materials that are to be procured through the Navy and Defense Supply system. For material that is not available through the Navy and Defense Supply System and for material whose delivery time through the Navy and Defense Supply system does not support the scheduled start of production, you will be required to determine the price and availability of material that is purchased from commercial sources.

Contract Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Material research, cost analysis, lead time analysis, purchasing, receipt and distribution.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High School diploma
- MS Office background with Word and Excel
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 3 years' experience with a U. S. Navy supply and material ordering system
- Experience working for an industrial production facility – commercial or government
- Experience using an enterprise resource management program
- Experience cross-referencing technical manual and nameplate data to manufacturers' part numbers.
Physical Demands and Expectations:
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
