What are the responsibilities and job description for the Northern NJ Field Marketing Specialist position at Fernway Procurement LLC?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Marketing Specialist to support our Field Marketing Manager in executing strategic marketing initiatives across Northern New Jersey. The Field Marketing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring top-tier in-store execution, fostering relationships with retailers and consumers, and providing critical marketing support to our retail partners. This role will be pivotal in driving brand awareness, sales growth, and maintaining strong retail relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support In-Store Execution: Ensure 100% execution of in-store marketing strategies, including displays, merchandising, and promotional setups, to maintain consistent brand visibility across all retail partners.
- Manage In-Store Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with store staff, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless collaboration, provide support, and address any concerns.
- Budtender Training: Conduct regular training sessions with budtenders to educate them on Fernway products, promotions, and selling points to drive better customer engagement and product knowledge.
- Retail Store Incentives: Manage and track incentive programs to engage and motivate budtenders and store teams to promote and sell Fernway products.
- Merchandising and Display: Oversee the setup, refresh, and maintenance of product displays to ensure they are always up to brand standards.
- Promotional Support: Assist with the execution of in-store promotions and product launches, ensuring that all retail marketing efforts are aligned with brand objectives.
- Swag and Promotional Materials Management: Handle the inventory, distribution, and management of swag and promotional materials, ensuring that all stores are adequately stocked for upcoming events and promotions.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events, activations, and pop-ups, including managing logistics, setup, and breakdown, ensuring smooth and successful operations.
- Collaboration with Sales and Retail Partners: Work closely with the commercial sales team and retail partners to align field marketing efforts with sales objectives, driving growth at the store level.
- Compliance with Cannabis Regulations: Ensure that all marketing activities adhere to state and local cannabis regulations and guidelines.
- Target Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday’s (Sunday Monday off)
- Tuesday & Wednesday: Flex (office/field) days to schedule pop ups, organize marketing material, meet with retail marketing partners, account maintenance
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday: Field days focused on visual merchandising, pop-ups, events & trainings
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in brand marketing, event planning, or a similar role
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Highly approachable and team-oriented personality
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for execution
- Proficiency in Hubspot and/or other CRM platforms
- Social media proficiency (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Ability to travel to retail locations and events as needed
- Comfortable with technology and various marketing tools
