TWO Shared Living Home Care Provider Needed!

Do you want to get paid for having an adult with a developmental disability live with you in YOUR house, condo or apartment?

We are currently looking for a Shared Living Home Care Provider in the NH Seacoast Region!

Position: Shared Living Home Care Provider

Location: Seacoast Region

Stipend: Up to $66,000.00/year TAX FREE!!!

Client #1

Annual Stipend including Room and Board: $38,000.00 TAX FREE!

Acceptable Towns:

Brentwood, Deerfield, East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Fremont, Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kensington, Kingston, New Castle, Newfields, Newington, Newmarket, North Hampton, Northwood, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Raymond, Rye, Seabrook, South Hampton, and Stratham. (Must be in one of these towns due to continue current medical care plane)

Must Haves:

  • Must have an overall quiet home
  • Be open to allowing individual to cook as individual loves to cook.
  • LGBTQ Friendly
  • Open to communicating through multiple platforms

Can't Haves:

  • No small children,
  • No farm animals
  • Ideally no small dogs, but cats are ok.

Client Description:

The individual enjoys spending time indoors, where they can focus on their interests and hobbies. They are passionate about anime, especially complex storylines, and enjoy the immersive experiences of music, video games, and reading. While they prefer smaller social settings, they are very independent in their daily routines, completing daily living activities and homemaking tasks with minimal reminders from their team. They appreciate gentle cues from staff to help them stay on track with personal care and medication, supporting their well-being and independence. The individual has exciting aspirations to become a YouTube Gamer and explore opportunities as a Game Tester, showcasing their enthusiasm for gaming. They are also a talented baker, impressing their Home Care Provider and Program Manager with their culinary creations. Driven by this talent, they have expressed interest in taking a college-level culinary class and are considering future career paths in a bakery or cafe setting. Individual does have day program 4 days a week with a DSP.

Designated/ off street location to park car so that individual can work on their car when and if the need arises. Prefers a first floor bedroom/ dwelling.

Client Description:

The individual is a friendly and sociable person who enjoys connecting with others when approached. They have a wide range of interests, including playing pool and tennis with friends, riding their electric bike, and visiting scenic spots like local lakes and beaches. While they prefer to stay onshore at the beach, they fully embrace the beauty of their surroundings. With impressive knowledge in auto mechanics, they confidently handle routine maintenance on their vehicle, displaying independence and resourcefulness. In their daily life, they utilize community resources to navigate paperwork and other formal communications, such as Social Security or Medicare notices, and actively seek assistance when needed. They communicate effectively, especially with familiar individuals, and are known for being a strong advocate for themselves. Building relationships thoughtfully and intentionally, they bring a sense of sincerity to their interactions, valuing trust and meaningful connections. They skillfully manage their own checking account and handle bill payments independently, showing a solid understanding of financial responsibility. When needed, they welcome support to further enhance their financial skills. Their involvement in the community is lively and engaging; they participate in holiday parades, visit friends, and enjoy outings to the nearby casino. They confidently advocate for their needs and services and appreciate occasional assistance with online documents, technology, and paperwork. Favoring verbal communication, they thrive in face-to-face discussions, especially when it involves planning their program or managing paperwork. As a hands-on learner, they excel when guided through tasks by a supportive staff member, showcasing a proactive and enthusiastic approach to growth and learning.

What’s involved?

As a Shared Living Home Care Provider, you’ll be paid to provide a safe and comfortable home and support the individual with their day to day life.

Can I Still Have a Day Job?

YES! Most clients work out in the community with an outside agency for six hours per day, Monday through Friday.

What if I Need a Break?

Home Care Providers receive 35 days of respite per year, so you can go to the wedding… take a weekend off or go visit family.

Do I Get Training & Support?

LifeConnections provides extensive training and on-going support, including monthly home visits and the availability of agency staff to guide and assist providers with any issues that might arise.

Ideal Qualifications:

Experience with people with developmental disabilities desired. Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver’s license. Home and auto insurance is required. Must pass Criminal and Driving record checks, as well as BEA registry check.

What are the Hiring Requirements?

Completion of a Safe Home Inspection

High School Diploma or GED

Auto/Home/Renters Insurance

Valid NH driver's license & 18 years of age

Authorized to work in the United States

Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks.
