Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP seeks to hire a highly organized, detail-oriented Bid Analyst in its Communications and Marketing Services Department, which serves Linebarger offices nationwide.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a research-driven professional looking to grow into a proposal writing role. The Bid Analyst will manage, track, and research government-issued Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and support the Communications & Marketing team in crafting high-quality, persuasive proposal responses.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical thinker with strong writing skills who can distill complex topics into clear, precise language. This role requires critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Strong performers will have the opportunity to take on increasing writing responsibilities, collaborate on proposal development, and advance within the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Bid Analyst works independently to monitor, track, research, and summarize RFPs. This role collaborates closely with Proposal Writers and plays a key role in the firm’s business development efforts.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Researching and identifying RFP opportunities that align with the firm’s services.
  • Analyzing RFP requirements and flagging potential issues.
  • Providing detailed, clear, and concise RFP analysis to firm attorneys for decision-making.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between the firm and government agencies / vendors.
  • Reviewing and editing draft proposals for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • Managing print production and quality control for proposal submissions.
  • Maintaining a database of historical RFPs and supporting documentation.
  • Tracking proposal success rates and providing monthly / quarterly reports.
  • Managing subscriptions and budgets for RFP vendor platforms (GovWin, BidNet, etc.).
  • Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of research, RFP analysis, writing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Previous experience in government procurement, proposal writing, or legal services.
  • Previous experience using RFP databases, such as GovWatch, GovWin, BidNet, etc.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
