Assembly Tech (Composite Fuel Probe) - Aerospace Manufacturing

Position:
Electromechanical Assembly Tech
LMS is looking for a detailed oriented individual to join our electromechanical assembly team. This position is primarily focused on the final assembly of carbon composite fuel probes which entails wiring harnesses, printed circuit board soldering, and bonding carbon tubes. Experience with AS9100 requirements and procedures is a large plus. Being able to follow written procedures and keep detailed records of assembly is necessary
This is an hourly 1st shift position with multiple work schedules to choose from.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical assemblies, working from detailed written procedures or on the job training
- Follow established working procedures and policies exactly and consistently
- Accurately track labor hours using LMS’ enterprise software
- Maintain attention to detail with focus, become proficient identifying product nonconformities
- Identify, suggest, or initiate continuous improvement opportunities based on lessons learned
- Properly document work performed to meet AS9100 quality standards
- Maintain a clean and neat work area to 5S standards
Requirements:
- Experience following documented assembly procedures and acceptance test procedures
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, gauges and fixtures such as torque screwdrivers & wrenches, solder tools, calipers, go/no-go fixtures and jigs
- High manual dexterity; ability to perform work under magnification
- Experience with soldering a plus; ability to learn precision soldering is essential
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of relevant assembly experience
- Experience in ESD environment is a plus
- Experience in an AS9100 industry is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
