Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, project management, and cost control. The Electrical Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Duties
- Manage all phases of electrical projects, including planning, execution, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Conduct construction estimating to prepare accurate budgets for projects.
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors on-site to ensure quality workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and project coordination.
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to maintain budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and address any issues that arise.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within the electrical construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and techniques.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations governing electrical installations.
- Proficiency in using Bluebeam or similar software for project documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience managing construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
