As a Carrier Operations Specialist, you will be a part of a growing team designed to support the operations of shippers in our network while meeting our high standards of service. Your primary objective will be to ensure all our customer’s freight is monitored and tracked, accurately and efficiently. This role requires the ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple customers, warehouses, and interfaces.
Your Role
- Triage inbound phone calls from carriers and dispatchers regarding customer shipments.
- Proactively reach out to carriers and shippers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Ensure ALL transit issues are escalated to the appropriate carrier representative.
- Communicate internally with our customer sales team with continuous updates on status of customer shipments. You are their point of contact for all tracking updates.
- Ensuring all freight covered is tracked efficiently and accurately including, driver information, secondary contact information, updates prior to pick-up and delivery appointments, check in and out times at shipper and receiver as well as location updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven demonstration of commitment and work ethic in a school or work setting.
- Detailed and precise when completing tasks.
- Fast paced and able to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Able to take verbal/written instruction and execute with confidence.
- An exceptional communicator with great interpersonal skills.
