The Bachrodt family opened their first Chevrolet dealership in Rockford in December 1953 on Church Street in downtown Rockford. The patriarch of the family, Lou Bachrodt, Jr., was the owner/operator of the store. Decades later, Lou Bachrodt is still family owned and leaders in the automotive industry.
