The Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, has an exciting employment opportunity for experienced Certified Medical Assistant to work at a dermatology practice in Winchester, VA.
General Medical Assistant responsibilities include:
- Assisting Physician with dermatological examinations, surgical procedures, biopsies, and Mohs surgery
- recording patient medical histories and vital signs
- Perform basic wound care
- Collect and prepare tissue specimens for laboratory analysis
- Manage and update electronic health records
- Make phone calls and responds to patient inquiries
- Manage Inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Patient education, explain treatment plans and medication usage to patients
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dermatology setting
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification, preferred
- Experience with Mohs surgery procedures, preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dermatological conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
